Growing up outside of Cincinnati, I was involved in athletics from an early age. Football, baseball, and basketball were all a big part of my life through high school. As an adult I continue to feed my need to remain active with snowboarding and competitive Mixed Martial Arts. I also regularly compete in adventure races throughout the United States. These races are physical and mental for me and promote the true sense teamwork. For the last few years I have run the Capital City Half Marathon, both for my own benefit but often as an encouraging running partner for many of my clients. Whatever the activity, I am always on the lookout for the next new challenge.
I earned my degree in Exercise Science from The Ohio State University in 2003. After college I trained high school and collegiate athletes at Accelerate Ohio, a training facility designed to help young athletes increase strength, endurance, flexibility, speed and confidence.
In 2004 I moved to Lifestyle Family Fitness for the opportunity to work with a wider range of clients. For the past seven years I have had the privilege of working with hundreds of people helping them achieve a wide range of goals. For over 5 years I was the Training Director at Lifestyle and was able to work with and encourage other trainers. In this role I was given the opportunity to travel and lead seminars that leveraged my knowledge of business practice and fitness. I focused on educating trainers on how to gain and keep new clients as well as how to effectively design individualized training programs for those clients.
